This site carries advertising, and some of it pays us. This page explains exactly how, because the alternative — letting readers work it out for themselves — is not a reasonable way to run a publication.
Some pages on this site are advertorials: advertising written in article form. They are paid placements. Every advertorial carries a label at the top of the page identifying it as advertising, and a disclosure in the footer of that page.
An advertorial is not editorial. It has not been through our editorial process, it reflects the position of the advertiser, and you should read it as advertising — because that is what it is.
When you click through from an advertorial on this site to a product page and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the seller. The price you pay is not affected by this.
We are not the seller. We do not handle payments, ship products, hold your order details, or provide customer service for anything purchased through a link on this site. Those are matters between you and the seller, whose own contact details appear on their checkout and in their own terms.
If a page is advertising, it says so at the top of that page. If it does not say so, it is editorial and nobody paid for it.
If you ever find that unclear on a specific page, tell us and we will fix the labelling on that page. You can reach us through our contact page.
Claims made inside an advertorial are the advertiser’s claims, not ours. Products described as dietary supplements are not medicines: statements about them have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and such products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Nothing in an advertorial on this site should be treated as medical advice, and nothing in one should replace talking to your own doctor — particularly if you take prescription medication.
